I’m part of a project with Beth Kanter to end hunger. Actually, there are tons of us. The goal is simple: spend a few bucks and make the world better. I love those kinds of goals. But better still, I love a challenge, and this has a challenge built right in.

There are three things you can do today: give, volunteer, or share, which means that you could donate some money or some time, or you could at least share the news with others. Choice 3 is super easy, so if nothing else, and do that?

Now, if you’re interested in giving some money or volunteering some time, sign up. I’m looking at Boston on their little US map and feeling sad that we’re in fifth place. Surely we can shoot past Illinois, right?

I’m looking at ways to help nonprofits every month in 2009. Helping to end hunger carries on the work I did with Share our Strength, and gives us both another way to spend just a few dollars to make a big impact.

Can you sign the pledge and let us know what you’re willing to do? And thanks.
