With a small group of determined Champions driving our efforts, we were able to get nearly 2,500 people to sign the Pledge to End Hunger in one week. Those who sign it are saying they want to help end childhood hunger in America and will do something about it.

Now that South by Southwest 2009 (SXSW ‘09) has begun in Austin, Texas, we challenge you to help us get 5,000 people to sign The Pledge by Tuesday 12 noon.

If we reach our goal, Tyson Foods will donate another truckload of food to help feed children in need. That will bring their total donation of food up to four truckloads.

Just think what all you high-voltage, super-connected, I’ve-been-Twittering-since-before-it-had-vowels,  social media powherhouses can do when you encourage your personal networks to join you in signing The Pledge.

What’s the Goal?
Help #HungerPledge reach 5,000 pledges by Tuesday, March 17, at 12 noon CT and Tyson Foods will donate yet another semi-truck load of food (that’s four in total!).

Who Gets the Trucks?
 At 12 noon CT  on Friday, March 20, the two (three, if we reach the 5K goal in time!) states with the most Total Pledges will each receive a semi-truck of Tyson Food delivered to a food bank in your state (as determined by Tyson Foods and Feeding America.)
